Accessibility statement

Alca Technology S.r.l. is committed to making its website accessible. As a voluntary commitment, the website alcatechnology.com is being aligned with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA and with the principles of the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882, transposed in Italy by Legislative Decree no. 82 of 27 May 2022).

Compliance status

The website is currently partially compliant with the European harmonised standard EN 301 549 and with WCAG 2.1 level AA, due to the non-conformities listed below. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing process: known issues are addressed progressively as part of the accessibility improvement plan.

Completed improvements

  • heading structure of the page templates and of the project, job and article templates corrected to remove skipped levels (WCAG 1.3.1, June 2026);
  • text contrast improved on breadcrumbs and on the careers form submit button to meet the minimum AA ratio (WCAG 1.4.3, June 2026);
  • a visible keyboard focus indicator added across the site (WCAG 2.4.7, June 2026);
  • the cookie preferences control changed from an empty link to a real button with an accessible name (WCAG 4.1.2, June 2026);
  • minimum size ensured for header and footer touch targets (WCAG 2.5.8, June 2026);
  • alternative texts for images compiled across the media library and the published pages (WCAG 1.1.1, June 2026);
  • the image alt text of the third party flip box widget corrected: it now exposes the real alternative text of each image, following a fix released by the plugin vendor (WCAG 1.1.1, July 2026);
  • accessible names added to the card and overlay links across the website (WCAG 2.4.4, June 2026);
  • language attribute and skip to content link verified on the main pages.

Known non-conformities

  • the homepage image slideshow does not yet honour the reduced motion preference and cannot be fully controlled from the keyboard, and text over some lighter slides may fall below the minimum contrast ratio (WCAG 1.4.3, 2.2.2, 2.1.1);
  • semantic markup and ARIA attributes still need consolidation on some interactive components;
  • downloadable documents have not yet been verified against accessibility standards;
  • embedded third party content, such as maps, has been only partially verified.

Our commitment

Alca Technology is committed to progressively improving the accessibility of the website, through work on the visual design, the content and the technical structure of the pages. This statement will be reviewed periodically.

Assessment methodology

This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out with a full site automated accessibility scan, automated contrast analysis tools, keyboard navigation tests, semantic structure inspection and assistive technology compatibility checks.
